    • OpenCohesion School Catalonia Project 2023-2024

    Once again, D’EP Institut is supporting the OpenCohesion School Catalonia project that began in the 2019-2020 school year. Currently, the project is being promoted from the Open Data Area of the General Directorate of Digital Administration (DGAD). Students in 3rd and 4th of ESO participating in the project carry out research, putting into practice the principles of citizen auditing, using open data and qualitative information to evaluate interventions funded by the European Union cohesion policies in their territory, providing results and actively engaging. During the 2023-2024 academic year, D'EP Institut is supporting the DGAD in the implementation of the project by elaborating the didactic guides, dynamizing the webinars for the participating teachers, and supporting the design of the final event. Finally, it has been in charge of the evaluation of this edition of the project.     Evaluation of services and programs of Barcelona Activa – Youth Service

    D'EP Institut has evaluated the Youth Employment Service (SOJ) of Barcelona Activa (2022). The study has focused on evaluating the design and implementation taking into account aspects such as: knowledge and access channels, coverage degree, type of usage (occasional or continuous), service evaluation, and labor orientation needs. The methodology has combined quantitative and qualitative techniques. Participant registration has allowed assessing coverage and establishing the profile and characteristics of participation. Additionally, two discussion groups with young people and one with professionals from facilities aimed at young people have been carried out, along with a survey of young people who have used the SOJ.
    Evaluation of Barcelona Activa services and programmes – Barcelona Work

    DE’P Institut has evaluated the Program of activities of Barcelona Work of Barcelona Activa based on the information from the period 2017-2022. The study has had as its main objectives to identify needs, evaluate the design, implementation, as well as communication and dissemination, and results. The methodology of the study has combined quantitative and qualitative techniques. Databases that collect information on activities and participating individuals, as well as responses to satisfaction surveys, have been analyzed. The collection of qualitative information has included 12 interviews with users and 3 discussion groups to cover 3 profiles: technical staff and prescribers, training staff, and users.
    FUAB Studies 2020-2024

    Once again, DE’P Institut is carrying out a set of studies for the UAB Foundation (FUAB) for the academic year 2022-2023 that provide information on:

    • - The enrollment process and satisfaction with it.
    • - Teaching evaluation in undergraduate degrees, master's degrees, and continuing education.
    • - Satisfaction with completed undergraduate or master's degree studies.
    • - Satisfaction with the services offered by FUAB (facilities, IT resources, virtual campus, secretariat, internship unit, etc.).
    • - Employment outcomes 18 months after completing studies
    • - Participation and satisfaction in Study Abroad experiences for international students.
    • - Satisfaction of company tutors with the profile of students on internships and coordination with the Internship Unit or the Job Placement Office.
    The studies are conducted through various online surveys aimed at students, faculty, and staff (Administration and Services), as well as company tutors.     Xcelence 2022 Annual Report

    DE’P Institut in collaboration with the Bertelsmann Foundation has conducted a study on the state of guidance based on the 10 keys of the Xcelence model. The report gathers responses from 225 public, private, and semi-private secondary education centers that have used the Xcelence.es tool during the period 2019-2022 in Spain. The main objectives have been:

    • - Analyze the progress of centers in guidance based on the 10 keys of the Xcelence model.
    • - Highlight the main challenges and expectations of academic and professional guidance.
    • - Initiate a recurring study process to update the report year after year.

    Labour Market Pulse – InfoJobs Indicators

    D'EP Institut has been preparing InfoJobs' monthly labor market indicators for more than 10 years. The leading job search portal in Spain publishes monthly data, such as types of contract and working hours, the ranking of the most demanded jobs, or the distribution of candidates and registrations by job categories and autonomous communities, capturing the activity related to supply and demand and thus becoming a benchmark of the pulse of the Spanish labor market.     Study on Family Satisfaction 2021-2022 ICCIC

    DE’P Institut has conducted the fifth edition of the study on family satisfaction at Thau Barcelona Schools, Thau Sant Cugat, and the Baccalaureates of the Cultural Institution of CIC (ICCIC). The main objectives of the study are:

    1. Describe the profile of families and students.
    2. Identify the degree of knowledge, relationship, and involvement with the ideology.
    3. Evaluate their satisfaction and needs.
    4. Understand their expectations.
    5. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the Institution, opportunities, and threats.
    Evaluation of Needs and Coverage and Diagnosis of Educational Leisure Activities in Catalonia

    D’EP Institut is carrying out the study "Evaluation of needs, coverage, and diagnosis of educational leisure activities" commissioned by the Catalan Youth Agency. This report constitutes a first approach to the diagnosis of educational leisure considering a multi-informant perspective that includes the perception of children and families, but also of leaders and responsible individuals of the entities, as well as the incorporation of administrative The main objectives of the study are to conduct a diagnosis of educational leisure, describing the coverage of the offer and an analysis of the benefits and perceptions surrounding it. To address these objectives, D’EP Institut has conducted a working session with experts, focus groups, and surveys directed at the different actors involved: children and their families, leaders, and responsible individuals of entities.  
    Evaluation of different active employment policies 2021-2022

    DE’P Institut has assessed the APP Program of the Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC), considering the analysis of design, implementation, as well as results and impact analysis. The aim is to provide useful information and possible recommendations to assess its continuity in the future. The evaluation has been conducted based on the theory of change using various sources and techniques:

    • - Analysis of participant databases.
    • - A discussion group with participating promoting entities.
    • - Seventeen interviews with participating individuals, companies, and promoting entities.

    The OpenCohesion School Catalonia Project 2021-2022

    The ASOC Catalonia project has been promoted by the Secretariat General of Open Government and is supported by the Department of Education and the Secretariat of Foreign Action and the European Union. It is part of the OpenCohesion School (ASOC) project, an innovative interdisciplinary educational program designed for all types of secondary schools to promote citizen auditing of public finances through the use of open data and information and communication technologies. D’EP Institut has provided technical support in the implementation of the project in 11 educational centers by facilitating webinars, adapting necessary materials, developing teaching guides, and participating in the final event. Finally, D’EP Institut has also conducted the project evaluation.

    Study on the impact of guidance on the FP

    The General Subdirectorate of Guidance and Lifelong Learning (SGOALV) has counted with the participation of D'EP Institut to carry out a study on the impact of the actions being carried out in the field of professional guidance in Vocational Education and Training (VET). The study has focused on the benefits of guidance from the point of view of management teams, counselors, teachers and students, as well as to check if it meets the requirements of accessibility, individualization and quality set by the European Union.
    Development of two specific studies on the socio-economic situation in the region of Bages

    D'EP Institut has developed, commissioned by the Bages County Council, two specific studies on the socio-economic situation in the region of Bages. The first study, the diagnosis on the situation of the household work and care sector in Bages, aimed to: define the value chain of this work sector to assess the coverage of families' demands, analyze the household work and care sector in the region, analyze proposals and demands regarding the employment of individuals dedicated to it, and define action proposals by the public administration. A second study on the Training needs and job insertion possibilities for individuals aged 45 or older in the Bages region has allowed analyzing the profile and training needs of job seekers in the region, as well as identifying action proposals for job insertion in companies within Bages.  
    Impact Assessment of Child Protection Strategies and the Use of Kanjo (EDUCO)

    D’EP Institut has collaborated with the Educo Foundation in evaluating the benefits and impact of implementing child protection strategies and the use of the Kanjo tool in educational centers. To conduct this study, which involved various educational centers nationwide, three ad hoc instruments have been developed for data collection, specifically a form for characterizing educational centers, a self-assessment questionnaire on the implementation of protection and good treatment policies (PPBT), as well as a form to quantify detected cases of emotional distress and other indicators.
    Final meeting and practical seminar of the European Keyway project

    On June 3 and 4, 2018, the last international meeting of the European Keyway project led by D'EP Institut was held. This meeting, organized by HdBA in the German city of Manheim, focused on the presentation of the final version of the guide and discussed the testing phase of the tools with guidance services and practitioners. The final seminars will be held in June and July in the four participating countries. In Barcelona, the practical seminar “Evaluation of the impact of guidance services” will take place on July 5. During the session, at the Pati Manning of the Diputació de Barcelona, the impact evaluation of guidance services will be discussed and how it allows to value and measure the quality of guidance services, as well as to provide evidence to influence the design of public guidance policies.     TACKLE project to reduce early school leaving

    This Erasmus+ Programme project is part of a set of projects that are being developed to respond to the Covid-19 crisis. The main goal is to develop assessment tools and digital support so that secondary schools can self-assess and develop their academic and professional guidance programme and take new challenges to reduce early school leaving. In addition, online training will also be offered for teachers and guidance professionals through the TACKLE toolbox. It is considered that as a result of the Covid-19 crisis in Europe, the need for guidance, control and support services for schools is even more urgent. For this reason, innovative digital tools will be developed to support guidance professionals and teachers. D'EP Institut leads this project with the collaboration of other European entities: Barcelona Education Consortium, Centro Studi Pluriversum (Italy), Ison Psychometrica (Greece), Iskra Desarrollo SCCCL (Spain).
