In a globalized, complex and uncertain society, in which pre-established models are disappearing and the coordinates of social scenarios are in the process of transformation, training pathways and career opportunities are constantly changing.
This context makes citizens in need of guidance and accompaniment in the construction of their life and professional project and in the management of their career.
It is necessary to enable all students to be autonomous in their decisions and to have the tools to achieve success from an educational and personal perspective.
Orientation in transitions within and outside the educational system and, subsequently, in the labour system, is increasingly essential to face and overcome the changes and challenges that these transitions entail.
The model of academic and professional guidance of D’EP Institut pivots on the integral concept of the construction of life and professional project of the person, which recognizes the emancipatory and universal character of academic and professional guidance.
At D’EP Institut, we accompany people to make decisions regarding the development of their life and professional project and promote the development of people’s career management skills.
We understand orientation as a “continuous process that allows citizens, at any age and throughout their lives, to determine their abilities, their competences and their interests, make decisions in education, training and employment and manage the course of their personal lives as regards education and training, work and in other settings where it is possible to acquire or use these skills and competences” (EU (2008). Better inclusion of lifelong guidance in lifelong learning strategies OJ 2008/C 319/02).
Our work in the field of guidance, through activities (lectures, workshops…), resources, training, etc., aimed at young people, families and professionals, emphasizes two issues:
Guidance and support in decision-making and the encouragement and development of skills so that people, especially young people, can decide, autonomously, free of conditioners and with conviction and enthusiasm, their future.
VRGreen Adventure is an innovative initiative to respond to the growing need to encourage pro-environmental attitudes in pupils from an early age. This project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, is led by the DEP Institut and created various educational materials for students to become agents of green change. Within the framework of the project, the following has been created:
The Cultura Universalis project aims to develop and test a series of culture-based creative activity workshops and an interactive online game to improve intercultural competence and prosocial attitude through art in children aged 7- 14, whose character and potential are still developing, so their receptivity to different stimuli is broader. DE’P Institut has developed the "Practical Guide for the Evaluation of Local Health Plans" (PLS) at the request of the Barcelona Provincial Council, in order to have a document that facilitates evaluation and, therefore, assesses the achievement of the set objectives. The guide provides guidelines for planning and carrying out the monitoring and evaluation of the PLS, and also makes recommendations on the dissemination of the results obtained. It is structured into 6 chapters, and in the last one, a list of 10 basic principles to consider in the monitoring and/or evaluation of a PLS is offered.
