    The General Subdirectorate of Guidance and Lifelong Learning (SGOALV) has counted with the participation of D'EP Institut to carry out a study on the impact of the actions being carried out in the field of professional guidance in Vocational Education and Training (VET). The study has focused on the benefits of guidance from the point of view of management teams, counselors, teachers and students, as well as to check if it meets the requirements of accessibility, individualization and quality set by the European Union.
    Development of two specific studies on the socio-economic situation in the region of Bages

    D'EP Institut has developed, commissioned by the Bages County Council, two specific studies on the socio-economic situation in the region of Bages. The first study, the diagnosis on the situation of the household work and care sector in Bages, aimed to: define the value chain of this work sector to assess the coverage of families' demands, analyze the household work and care sector in the region, analyze proposals and demands regarding the employment of individuals dedicated to it, and define action proposals by the public administration. A second study on the Training needs and job insertion possibilities for individuals aged 45 or older in the Bages region has allowed analyzing the profile and training needs of job seekers in the region, as well as identifying action proposals for job insertion in companies within Bages.  
    Impact Assessment of Child Protection Strategies and the Use of Kanjo (EDUCO)

    D’EP Institut has collaborated with the Educo Foundation in evaluating the benefits and impact of implementing child protection strategies and the use of the Kanjo tool in educational centers. To conduct this study, which involved various educational centers nationwide, three ad hoc instruments have been developed for data collection, specifically a form for characterizing educational centers, a self-assessment questionnaire on the implementation of protection and good treatment policies (PPBT), as well as a form to quantify detected cases of emotional distress and other indicators.
    Survey on Youth Policies in Municipalities and Regions 2022

    D’EP Institut has collaborated with the Catalan Youth Agency in the development of the Survey on Youth Policies in Municipalities and Regions (EMC) 2022. The general objective of the study is to collect data and relevant information on the action of local entities in the deployment of youth policies. The first edition of the EMC, conducted in 2009, contributed to designing a work strategy framed within the territorial project, and the second edition, carried out between 2016 and 2017, allowed analyzing the effects of the economic crisis on local youth structures. This third edition aims to observe the effects of the pandemic and establish future needs in the face of the highly likely change in the relational dynamics between the administration and young people. Data collection is carried out through two questionnaires, one addressed to municipalities and the other to regional councils, through which information is requested on human resources, economic resources, planning and quality strategies, types of policies implemented, level of youth participation in youth policy, and strategies for engaging with young people, among others.
    Quality Evaluation of OAC Girona through Mystery Shopping

    D’EP Institut has conducted an evaluation of the quality of the service of the Citizen Information Office (OAC) of Girona with the aim of verifying adherence to established norms, procedures, and standards, and identifying strengths and areas for improvement. The study was carried out using the mystery shopping methodology, involving 12 visits to the OAC for various procedures, assessing aspects such as appointment scheduling channels, waiting conditions and times, as well as the quality of attention and issue resolution.
    Qualitative Study on the Social Use of Catalan Among Youth

    The Secretariat of Language Policy has collaborated with the D’EP Institut to conduct a qualitative study on discourses surrounding the social use of Catalan among young people in 2022. Marina Massaguer Comes and Avel·lí Flors Mas, researchers from CUSC-UB, also participated in this study. The study was conducted through 6 focus groups involving 48 young people aged between 15 and 34. D’EP Institut designed the discussion guidelines in collaboration with the Information, Dissemination and Studies Service of the Secretariat of Language Policy and CUSC-UB, facilitated the groups, and transcribed the discussions.
    Post-test of the SCT campaign “On the road, it all depends on you”

    D’EP Institut has conducted a post-test study for the Catalan Transit Service to understand the effectiveness of the campaign "On the road, it all depends on you!" The study was developed from a discussion group with people who regularly drive on the road and has served to analyze the level of knowledge and penetration of the campaign and to identify learnings for future campaigns.

    Participatory Phase of the Animal Welfare and Responsible Ownership Plan of the City Council of Rubí

    D'EP Institut has collaborated with the Animal Welfare and Responsible Ownership Unit of the Rubí City Council in the development of the Animal Welfare and Responsible Ownership Plan (PBATR) 2022-2025. D'EP Institut has been responsible for the technical secretariat, conducting face-to-face surveys in recreational areas and an online consultation with the public, and finally drafting the PRATR. This plan includes a total of 28 actions, categorized into 6 main axes, through which it aims to address the deficiencies identified during the diagnostic phase and participatory process.     Economic Impact of RallyRACC Costa Dorada

    Once again, the D'EP Institut has carried out the study of the economic impact of the RallyRACC Catalunya Costa Daurada of the 57th (World Rally Championship) and 58th editions (Spanish Super Championship of Rally) corresponding to the years 2022 and 2023, respectively. The study is based on data provided by the organization and surveys conducted both onsite and online. The profile of the attending public is analyzed, estimates are made on the number of spectators and the economic investment made by them, as well as that related to the organization of the event, to finally estimate the economic impact of the Rally.
    Study of the Soil and Substrates Sector 2022

    D’EP Institut has conducted, for the second time, the Study on the Sector of Companies Dealing with Soil and Substrates in Spain commissioned by APTYS, the Association of Soil and Substrate Preparers for Cultivation. To carry out this work, an analysis of the databases of the commercial registry and TARIC, of exports and imports, has been carried out, as well as an online survey of companies in the sector. The results of the study were presented on October 3, 2023, within the framework of Iberflora 2023, a leading trade fair in Europe among professional flower and gardening fairs.     Evaluation and Impact Plan of Nilak

    D’EP Institut has carried out the evaluation plan funded by the Carulla Foundation for the NILAK project, winner of the 2020 Lluís Carulla Award for Best Project. The objectives of the evaluation plan have been the design of the methodology and tools to carry out the evaluation of the impact and transformation of the project's activity; the piloting and implementation of the evaluation methodology; and the impact evaluation study of the project, accompanying and guiding the entity in the evaluation of its activity. In this sense, the evaluation of the first three itineraries of 2021-2022 has been carried out in the populations of Vilalba dels Arcs and Pinell de Brai, in the Terra Alta, and Rocafort de Queralt, in the Conca de Barberà.     Career guidance actions expanded at the 2023 education fair guidance service

    D’EP Institut handles student guidance service at the education fair

      For over 20 years, D'EP Institut has been responsible for providing the student guidance service offered by Fira de Barcelona within the framework of the Education Fair. This service is aimed at guidin g young people who are in an educational transition and in the process of building their life and professional projects through various activities and services. The main activity, and the one with the longest history, is the individualized guidance service , where a team of counselors assists students, families, and teachers with their queries on-site. Talks are also offered for students, families, and professionals, and guided tours of the fair are conducted to showcase the educational offerings, resources, and services available at the event. As a new feature of this edition, a "Family Kitbox" has been designed—materials with resources to help families support their children in decision-making. For the past five editions, the "Kitbox - Schools" has also been available, which is aimed at teachers and guidance professionals who want to optimize their visit to the fair.     Final meeting and practical seminar of the European Keyway project

    On June 3 and 4, 2018, the last international meeting of the European Keyway project led by D'EP Institut was held. This meeting, organized by HdBA in the German city of Manheim, focused on the presentation of the final version of the guide and discussed the testing phase of the tools with guidance services and practitioners. The final seminars will be held in June and July in the four participating countries. In Barcelona, the practical seminar “Evaluation of the impact of guidance services” will take place on July 5. During the session, at the Pati Manning of the Diputació de Barcelona, the impact evaluation of guidance services will be discussed and how it allows to value and measure the quality of guidance services, as well as to provide evidence to influence the design of public guidance policies.     TACKLE project to reduce early school leaving

    This Erasmus+ Programme project is part of a set of projects that are being developed to respond to the Covid-19 crisis. The main goal is to develop assessment tools and digital support so that secondary schools can self-assess and develop their academic and professional guidance programme and take new challenges to reduce early school leaving. In addition, online training will also be offered for teachers and guidance professionals through the TACKLE toolbox. It is considered that as a result of the Covid-19 crisis in Europe, the need for guidance, control and support services for schools is even more urgent. For this reason, innovative digital tools will be developed to support guidance professionals and teachers. D'EP Institut leads this project with the collaboration of other European entities: Barcelona Education Consortium, Centro Studi Pluriversum (Italy), Ison Psychometrica (Greece), Iskra Desarrollo SCCCL (Spain).
