The Cultura Universalis project aims to develop and test a series of culture-based creative activity workshops and an interactive online game to improve intercultural competence and prosocial attitude through art in children aged 7- 14, whose character and potential are still developing, so their receptivity to different stimuli is broader.

Cultura Universalis aims to develop and test a series of culture-based creative activity workshops and an interactive online game to improve intercultural competence and prosocial attitude through art in children aged 7-14, the character and potential of those that are still developing, so their receptivity to different stimuli is broader.

All the materials are organized through 7 themes:

  • Landscapes
  • Traditions
  • Costumes
  • Painting
  • Sculpture
  • Food
  • Literature

All the materials include information on the five types of the project consortium (France, Greece, Poland, Latvia and Spain) plus some references to the non-European cultures most present in the project countries.

Three main results have been created:

O1: Workshops – A training program for the improvement of intercultural competence through art, in order to sensitize students about cultural diversity and improve their behavior towards people of different cultures, as well as broaden their knowledge of didactic methods to improve intercultural competence.

O2: CU Game – An interactive game that tests the knowledge acquired during the training program and, in addition, teaches and tests attitudes, beliefs and improves the prosocial skills of students towards their peers with religious characteristics, origin and background various.

O3: Manuals for students and for teachers – A digital manual for children and a digital accompaniment for teachers with the aim of guiding them before playing, helping them during the game and also including additional creative activities to improve intercultural competence.
