Enric Renau i Permanyer was posthumously awarded the medal of work President Macià

The President of the Generalitat de Catalunya Artur Mas has delivered to Montserrat Oliveras Bagués the medal President Macià in recognition for the dedication, perseverance and a spirit of initiative in the work of Enric Renau i Permanyer.

Enric Renau, graduated in Political Science and Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He broaden his studies at the Università degli Studi and the European University Institute in Florence and Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley (USA). He was co-founder and partner of DEP Institut, a company that, among other activities, supports enterprises, public institutions and nonprofit organizations in their strategic and tactical decision-making. Enric Renau was also chief executive officer of Educaweb.com and associate professor at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra between 1993 and 2006 and member of the board of CTecno and the Catalan Association of Sociology.

The event was held on December 12, 2011 in the Hall of the Palau Sant Jordi of the Generalitat. The President Artur Mas, accompanied by the Minister of Business and Employement, Francesc Xavier Mena, handed the medal to work President Macià 2011 to sixteen people and the plate to work President Macià 2011 to eight companies and organizations located in Catalunya.
